Luci Corneli Sul·la Fèlix (en llatí: Lucius Cornelius Sulla, 138 aC - 78 aC) va ser un polític i general romà, cònsol l'any 88 aC i 80 aC i cap del partit dels optimats. Reformà amb profunditat l'estructura de l'estat romà i feu diversos canvis legislatius importants. L'any 88 aC es va presentar al consolat per primera vegada, que va obtenir, per un cantó gràcies als seus mèrits militars, i per altre, sembla, gràcies al suport aconseguit, després del seu quart matrimoni amb Cecília Metela, emparentant amb una de les més importants famílies de Roma, els Cecilis Metels. She was likely a former slave from Greece, who earned her fortune as a prostitute. Ernst Badian suggests that Nicopolis was not her real name.

She is foremost known as the alleged lover and benefactor of the young Sulla, whom she was older than. She was an independently rich woman by the time Sulla became her lover. They had a long term relationship. After her death, she left him her fortune. Their relationship, and the benefit of her fortune on his career, has often been referred to in the history of Sulla. Her fortune in combination with that of his stepmother, helped Sulla on his way in his political career.
